Lian first met Karlo during their executive panel interview for a job application at Philippine Airlines in May 2006. After the interview, she noticed he was also on the same bus ride home. She overheard him telling someone on the phone that he passed the interview and was already scheduled for the initial cabin crew training. She recalls being so annoyed with him because he was so loud. nnThey only became friends after training when Lian and some of their batchmates rented a place in Paranaque.
