Description:
The audio track in the video is the recording of a spoken word performance that I had done in the south London neighborhood of Vauxhall in 2008. In the performance, I approximated the Islamic call to prayer and through the day, at specific points in times shouted out, through a typical ‘public rally’ megaphone, extracts from Jospeh Needham’s monumental history of Chinese science. nnThe extracts were however the Bengali translation of Needham’s text. The scrolling text of the video is in
