Description: Sumer is icumen in was written by an anonymous composer in c1240 (although sometimes attributed to William de Wycombe). The text is in middle English, and the piece is usually performed as a 4-part round on top, with a 2-part round underneath. In this version, Lumina (directed by Anna Pope) has experimented with an 8-part round on the top. The piece was performed with singers partly spread around the audience in 'A Mediaeval Celebration' in the 2011 Adelaide Fringe Festival. This live recording
